Dural Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Donna McGrath

Veterinarian

BVSc (Hons)

I grew up in the Hills District and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2001. I began my career in mixed practice in country NSW before working in a diverse range of practices in the UK and around Australia, gaining valuable experience.

In 2018 I became the proud owner of Dural Veterinary Hospital, continuing the legacy started by Dr Barry Larkin in 1972.

Our practice has grown into the modern, multi-vet team we are today, and I feel incredibly grateful to work every day in a career and a practice that I love. Our team is a caring and compassionate group of people — not just for animals, but for our wonderful clients and for each other — and I think that makes all the difference.

I have undertaken additional training in dentistry, as I believe it is such an important part of whole-pet health. I also have a special interest in caring for our ‘golden oldie’ senior pets, focusing on proactive and preventative health programs.

Outside of work, I am kept busy with lots of sport — both my own and my two active daughters — and we get away camping as often as we can.

At home, I share life with two very energetic Hungarian Vizslas, Monty and Carlo, and a semi-feral rescue cat named Coco.
